Delivery Order Tracking (Custom Payment Types) for F&B
Fortis POS lets you register and track orders that arrive from third-party delivery platforms, such as Talabat, Careem, Deliveroo, or Noon Food. Directly in your POS without any API integration.
What This Means for You
When an order comes in through a delivery app, your staff registers it in the POS and selects the delivery platform as the payment source. The order is recorded in your Fortis reports, giving you a unified view of all revenue: card, cash, and delivery in one place.
Setting Up Delivery Platforms
Login to the Merchant Portal → Settings → Payments → In Person →Custom Payment Types to configure which platforms you use.
- Click + Add and enter the platform name (e.g., "Talabat", "Careem", "Deliveroo")
- Only active platforms appear on the POS terminal. Disable ones you don't currently use
- You can disable a platform without deleting it. This is useful for temporarily inactive platforms
- Any name can be used, not limited to delivery apps. Use it for "Corporate Account", "House Tab", or any custom payment source you want to track

How Staff Register a Delivery Order
- Add items to the cart as usual.
- Tap the checkout button to proceed to payment.
- On the payment screen, select "Other Payment Types" and choose the delivery platform (e.g., "Talabat").
- Optionally add a note, such as the aggregator order ID, for cross-referencing with the platform's own reports.
- Confirm. The order is recorded as an "Other" payment type and no terminal transaction is triggered.
Delivery orders are tracked as a separate payment type in your cash report. Clearly distinguished from card and cash payments. Each order is logged individually, making it easy to cross-reference with your delivery platform's reports using the note field.
