After you sign with Fortis, our Onboarding team takes you from signature to your first sale. Here's what happens and how long each step usually takes.
Your path to going live
- Agreement signed. You sign your Fortis agreement electronically.
- Documents checked. We check your documents and may ask for anything missing. The faster you send them, the faster you go live.
- Approval by your payment provider. We send your application to the payment provider (for example Network International, Mercury, Paymob or NeoPay). Providers don't process applications on weekends, and applications sent after 1 PM on Friday are picked up on Monday.
- Terminal delivered and activated by your Payment provider.
- Account set up and Welcome Training. We create your Fortis account, send you a link to set your password, and train you and your staff on the terminal and the Fortis POS Platform.
How long it takes: most merchants go live within 5 business days once all documents are complete. Training is usually completed within 2-3 working days of going live.
What you can do to go live faster
- Upload all requested documents in one go in the Self onboarding link.
- Answer our calls and messages during onboarding; we use them to confirm your details.
- Tell us early how many terminals and locations you need, and who on your team needs a login.
