The Fortis Kitchen Display System (KDS) replaces paper kitchen tickets with a real-time digital order queue on any screen in your kitchen. Orders from the POS appear instantly on the display, giving your kitchen team full visibility and helping them work faster.
With KDS:
- Orders appear on the kitchen screen instantly: no paper tickets needed
- Full queue visibility: kitchen sees all active orders in real time
- Fewer errors and faster preparation
- Two operation modes to fit your service style

KDS Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy a special screen or device?
No. KDS is a web application; any device with a browser works. Tablets, phones, smart TVs, and desktop monitors are all supported.
Can KDS be configured per location?
Yes. Each KDS screen is linked to a specific location.
Can comments added at the POS be seen on the KDS?
Yes. Comments added to a sale in the POS are displayed on the KDS screen alongside the order.
Can I filter which items or categories are shown on the KDS?
Order filtering by category is not available in the current version. All order items are displayed.
What do the colors on the KDS screen mean?
Orders are color-coded by age: green for new orders, yellow for orders waiting a while, and red for overdue orders that need immediate attention.
Can I undo marking an order as done?
Yes. You can cancel a "done" status on an order if it was marked done by mistake.
