A POS Terminal is the device used to process sales. After adding and activating a terminal, employees can sign in and start selling goods and services.
Note: Can’t log in to the portal, or not the owner? Here’s how to request a code. Note that only Owner or administrator roles can generate a code.
Steps to Add a POS Terminal
Sign in to the Fortis POS Platform at https://my.fortis.world/auth/login.
Go to Settings → POS Terminals.
Click Add.
Complete the form. Required fields are marked in red.
Click Activate and copy the 8-digit activation code. This code is required when an employee logs in to the POS terminal for the first time.
You can skip activation and activate the terminal later if needed.
Activate your POS terminal
Get the activation code for an existing terminal
Only the Owner or an Administrator can generate a code.
- Log in to your Fortis account at https://my.fortis.world/auth/login.
- Go to Settings → POS Terminals.
- Find the terminal in the list and click the 3 dots on the right.
- Click Deactivate, then click Reactivate.
- Copy the 8-digit activation code and enter it on the terminal.
Can't get the code yourself?
If you can't log in to the platform, or you are not the Owner or have an Administrator access, contact your administrator or Fortis Support on WhatsApp at +971 50 213 4201 or at support@fortis.world. Send:
- Your business name
- The last 4 digits of the terminal's serial number
- A photo of any receipt from the terminal, or your Merchant ID (MID)
If you are activating more than one terminal, send the serial number for each.
The code doesn't work
- Check that you entered all 8 digits.
- Generate a new code (Deactivate, then Reactivate) and try again.
- If it still fails, contact Fortis Support with the details above and a photo of the error on the screen.
Edit or delete a POS terminal
Click the 3 dots beside the terminal and select Edit or Delete.
